Samsung has announced the long-awaited Galaxy Note 4 and kind of surprising Galaxy Note Edge handsets at IFA in Berlin at the beginning of last month. Samsung finally decided to add some metal to company’s devices and many people are happy what Samsung had to show at IFA. You basically know what to expect when it comes to the Galaxy Note 4, but Samsung also introduced a Galaxy Note Edge device which offers a rather odd concept. You get a regular 5.6-inch screen and a side “Edge” screen which acts a completely different panel and offers some extra functionality. A lot of people were intrigued by this devices, while the rest of them called it gimmicky. Either way you spin this, Samsung brought something new to the table if nothing else. This Korean giant also showcased Gear VR, a virtual reality headset and a Gear S smartwatch at their IFA event.
BestBuy, Sprint, EE and some other retailers / carriers already offer the Galaxy Note 4 and / or Galaxy Note Edge on pre-order. Australian retailer Yatango also listed these two devices, though they’re offering them for sale now and ship them within a week, which are great news for Australian consumers which want to get their hands on one of these devices. Yatango’s products are compatible with Australian 3G and 4G networks even though these are not the same models that will go on sale in Australia. These devices are priced below the announced Australian RRPs (Recommended Retail Prices). Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will cost you AU$899 ($50 below RRP) if you want to get it now from Yatango, while the Galaxy Note Edge will set you back AU$999 ($250 below RRP). Both of these devices will launch in Australia in late October / early November from carriers over there, so if you want a subsidized phone you might want to wait a while.
Unfortunately for those of you outside of Australia, Yatango ships only within the country. If you’re interested in either of these devices visit the source link below and let us know how you like them once they arrive your way, no matter which one you decide to purchase.
