Samsung India: Galaxy Note Edge Will Launch In India Before The End Of The Year

Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge is a rather interesting device which company showcased at this year’s IFA alongside the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, Gear S smartwatch and the Gear VR, a virtual reality headset. Galaxy Note Edge is yet another one of those test products Samsung loves to make. Some of those devices were extremely successful, like the first Galaxy Note back in 2011, others however, not so much… khm, khm, Galaxy Round, Galaxy Mega… Galaxy Note Edge is however a rather powerful handset, it carries Note 4’s specifications and all software functions but it also sports that odd side Edge display which acts as a completely separate panel and gives you some extra functionality. It has been rumored that the Note Edge will be available in limited quantities and it remains to be seen if it will attract consumers.

This Korean giant will launch the Galaxy Note 4 phablet and Gear S smartwatch in India on October 17th and it seems Galaxy Note Edge is on its way to that country as well. Samsung India announced (at their own event) that the Note Edge will launch in India before the end of this year, though they weren’t specific at all. Galaxy Note Edge features a 5.6-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes with an Adreno 420 GPU. 3GB of RAM are available on the inside for all your multitasking needs and the phone comes with 32 or 64GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB). On the back of the device you can find a 16-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera while there’s a 3.7-megapixel camera on the front of the device. 3000mAh battery is also part of the package as well as Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with Samsung’s Revolving UX UI on top of it. The device measures 151.3 x 82.4 x 8.3mm and it weighs 174 grams. As far as connectivity goes, Galaxy Note Edge ships with 4G LTE (Xi LTE and VoLTE support) capability, Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, IR port, microUSB 2.0 port and a FeliCa NFC.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge sure is an interesting device, are you one of those consumers who are interested in getting one of these handsets?
