Today, we were able to get our hands on the Motorola DROID Turbo. But not only that, we also were able to pick up our review unit today. So don’t go anywhere we’ve got lots of content to come. So we thought we’d share with you the unboxing experience. And here it is. At the bottom of this post, we’ve got the full unboxing in its entirety. Towards the end, you hear a big thump, don’t worry that’s just my bag falling off my bed in my hotel room. Nothing to worry about.
The Motorola DROID Turbo is a beast. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, 21MP camera on the back, 2MP front-facing camera. It’s also got a 5.2-inch 2560×1440 resolution AMOLED display, 3900mAh battery inside, and it does support Verizon’s XLTE network. Which is pretty much expected. So as you can see not only the is the DROID Turbo a smaller Nexus 6, spec wise, it’s also a beast from Verizon. It’s just too bad that it’s only on Verizon and not coming to other carriers. Although we did hear about that Moto S that might be going to AT&T with the same dimensions and specs. So keep your fingers crossed.
So we do have a DROID Turbo in hand. If you have any questions feel free to ask away. That’s what we are here for. And unlike other publications, we won’t have our review done before it launches on Thursday, because it’s just impossible to do a 48 hour review – not to mention I’m traveling tomorrow, so it’d be more like a 24 hour review. So again, if you have questions about the DROID Turbo, be sure to leave them in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer them all. Some I may need to wait to use the device more first.
