According To A Report, LG Is Preparing To Release A G Flex Mini Handset

LG is, much like Samsung, used to releasing test phone, or prototype phones if you’d like. They have tons of cash to spend on R&D and thus have the technology needed to come up with new and exciting solutions for the market. LG announced a G Flex device (pictured above the article) in October last year and then released it a month later. The LG G Flex was a rather odd device and some people were intrigued while others were scoffing at the site of this phablet. LG G Flex is a 6-inch behemoth with a curved 720p P-OLED (Plastic) display. I believe LG wanted to show off with this device and test out the market at the same time to see how will people react to something like this. Some rumors surfaced 2 months ago saying that LG is working on G Flex’s successor, though we haven’t heard anything about it since then basically.

According to a new report, LG is working on a smaller version of LG G Flex. Ynet’s reporter, Dawn Lily, visited LG in Korea recently and she claims to have seen a device in LG’s R&D which features a similar curved screen to the LG G Flex but is smaller in size. Is it possible that LG is planning to release both LG G Flex 2 and LG G Flex Mini? There’s always a chance LG G Flex 2 will be smaller than the G Flex, which would mean LG will release only 1 device of course. I believe that we might see two G Flex devices though, considering how popular are huge phones these days I doubt LG will go for just 1, smaller, G Flex device. I’m actually somewhat surprised we haven’t seen more leaks / rumors when it comes to this device.

Either way, I’m positive LG will release a G Flex device, though I’m not sure when. I’d say until the end of the year considering the first G Flex was released a year ago, but we really haven’t seen all that much material on the G Flex, so… well, who knows, it could still happen until the end of the year. What do you think, will LG release 2 G Flex devices or will we see just one?
