T-Mobile’s LG G Flex Gets VoLTE Support in Latest Update
While we’re sure everyone is waiting for Lollipop to hit their devices right about now, there are other updates that are just as important you know, really, there are! One of those such updates is the addition of VoLTE to the G Flex. If you’re not sure what that means, Voice over LTE or VoLTE should dramatically increase the quality of voice calls on your device. Other than that, the G Flex on T-Mobile can now send text messages during a flight. Below is the changelog statement from T-Mobile.
“Beginning November 17, the LG G Flex will have a software update to Android KitKat 4.4.2/SWV20s that turn on VoLTE services via OTA over Wi-Fi in available VoLTE markets only. For devices not in VoLTE markets, the update will also be available via OTA via Wi-Fi or the LG Mobile Support Tool. VoLTE capabilities are limited to markets that have had VoLTE turned on.”

Android 5.0 LRX21R Rolls Out for the Nexus 9
Last week, things got a little messy when it came down to the latest software update for the Nexus 9. When Google released version LRX21Q along with the Lollipop updates for the rest of the Nexus crew, they sort of messed up. They didn’t include the right recovery in the update, and the previous update didn’t change it either, so the OTA would fail looking for a recovery version that wasn’t there. Anywho, Google have since fixed that with the LRX21R update. If you’re still on LRX21L and you want to know what’s so special here’s a hint;performance. This made my Nexus 9 much snappier and if you just can’t wait, you can download the update directly from Google here.
