More Details Emerge on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Project Zero

It’s truly never too early for some Galaxy S6 rumors. And this time, Sammobile has a big one here for us. We know that Samsung is working on Project Zero which is said to be designing the Galaxy S6 from scratch. So we’re hoping for something new from Samsung and not just another iteration. I’m sure their profits are hoping for that as well. Yesterday we heard a bit about the Project Zero, and now we’re hearing more on the Samsung Galaxy S6, which we’re expecting to see around February of next year.

The Galaxy S6 is reportedly going to feature a 2560×1440 resolution AMOLED display. Currently the display size is unknown, but I’d suspect it to be around 5.1-inch to 5.2-inch. Especially after the Galaxy Note 4 stayed the same size as the Galaxy Note 3 from last year. As far as the processor goes we’re looking at the Exynos 7420, which has four Cortex-A53 cores and four Cortex-A57 cores. It’s also a 64-bit processor, so you’ll be good with Android Lollipop, which should be on the Galaxy S6 at launch. The camera sensor on the Galaxy S6 is the IMX240, however it’s being said that they are still deciding on the 16MP or the 20MP camera. It’s likely that Samsung will stick with the 16MP camera and work in better Optical Image Stabilization. On the front we’re looking at a 5-megapixel camera. It’s also going to come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB configurations. Samsung isn’t sticking their own Exynos chip in the US and LTE models. Instead, we’ll be seeing the Snapdragon 810 over here in the US and most other LTE markets. Which is what we expected more or less.

Sammobile has much more in-depth info over on their site, so you can check that out in the source links below. It’s looking like the Galaxy S6 will be a beast once again. Which is definitely nice to see.
