Huawei Honor 6 Plus Reaches TENNA Confirming Two Rear 8MP Cameras

Huawei is another one of those companies who have been having a good year this year. In particular two of the Huawei range of devices which seem to be attracting a good deal of attention is the Huawei Honor and Huawei Mate ranges. These are affordable units with decent enough specs. To add to the Honor lineup, the latest offering from Huawei is in the guise of the ‘Huawei Honor 6 Plus’. As the name suggests this is the follow up (or bigger brother to the Honor 6). Think Apple 6 and 6 Plus. Huawei seems to be breaking more into the European market with the 6 range as it was recently reported that the Honor 6 was being released in Europe. So whats with the 6 Plus?

According to the rumors the Honor 6 Plus is due to come with a 5.5″ full HD display. Inside, it is expected that the 6 Plus will come equipped with 3GB RAM and an octa-core processor (clocking at 1.8Ghz). In terms of memory the device is expected to be available in 16GB and 32GB variants and with a microSD card slot (up to 64GB). If cameras are your thing then this is the big selling point with the 6 Plus coming with two rear facing cameras. This apparently will allow for 3D image capturing. Lastly, the device will come running on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).

Well, they were the expected specs. The latest is the 6 Plus has finally landed on TENNA, which is the Chinese equivalent to the FCC. According to the information on TENNA, the 6 Plus will come with a 5.5″ display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Inside it will have the expected 3GB RAM and come with Huawei’s own Kirin 925 (octa-core) processor, equipped with a Mali T628 GPU. The device will come running on Android although the TENNA information is Android 4.4.2 (which is still KitKat). However, the most important aspect is the 6 Plus does indeed come with two rear facing cameras. Both listed as an 8MP camera. In terms of price it is rumored the 6 Plus will be set at 3299 RMB which is close to $540. That is a little steep, but maybe the two cameras and 3D image capturing it is worth it. What do you think? Do you like the device? Is it worth a price tag over $500? Let us know.
