Meizu’s MX4 Pro definitely took the spotlight from the original MX4 which launched about 3 months ago. Meizu has launched the upgraded version of this handset, called MX4 Pro, earlier this month. The company has upgraded many aspects of the original device, not that it was needed, but hey, it happened. MX4 Pro brings a bigger and higher-resolution display, more RAM, more powerful processor and a fingerprint scanner below the display. The MX4 is still a very powerful device though and nothing to scoff at. This handset’s price is 1799 Yuan in China and for some reason the device got listed on Gome and Suning Tesco in China at a somewhat higher price point. All three versions of the device are available for purchase, you can get it in Gray, Silverwing or Gold versions. Prices vary and you’ll have to visit Gome and or Suning Tesco if you’d like to check out all of them. The devices are available in various storage versions as well, so pick the one you like the most and… well, purchase it, if you live in China of course.
Meizu’s MX4 features a 5.36-inch 1080p (1920 x 1152) display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16, 32 or 64GB of built-in storage. MediaTek’s MT6595 octa-core processor is powering on this device along with PowerVR Series 6 GPU for graphics rendering. 20.7-megapixel shooter is located at the back of the device along with a dual LED, dual tone flash. On the front of the device, you can find a 5-megapixel snapped which should come in handy if you like to take a selfie here and there or you use the video call feature of your device. The Meizu MX4 comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Meizu’s Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it. The device measures 144 x 75.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 147 grams. The device ships with a 3100mAh non-removable battery.
As I already mentioned, the MX4 is still a great device and you can get it on the cheap, having in mind that this is a flagship-material device we’re talking about.
