Motorola Wants To Help You Find Your Phone With Their New Key Ring Attachment Called KeyLink

Let’s face it, losing your phone is something that we’ve all probably done at one time or another. Whether it be outside potentially lost forever or in our own homes hiding under a pile of blankets on the couch, losing your phone is never fun and sometimes you’re pressed for time and can’t be spending an hour looking for it. Motorola is here to relieve a little stress should you find yourself without your phone thanks to a new key ring attachment they have just announced this morning called Key Link.

Just like it sounds, the device links to your phone and allows you to ring your device so you can be alerted to where it is. There are a couple of things you’ll need of course for this device to work. One is the Motorola Connect application. The reason is because the Key Link connects up to your phone with the Connect app. Now the Key Link sounds like a great little device but keys are probably the single handed most lost item in history, or at least coming in a close second now that our smartphones go with us everywhere. The nice thing about Key Link is that once you have it attached to your key ring, should you lose your keys you can use the Motorola Connect app to ring the Key Link device.

The Motorola Key Link works up to 100 feet away, so the chances are if you lose your phone outside of your home, finding it is slim to none unless you know the exact area where you lost it and will be within 100 feet. The good news is that this will be a life saver for those who are constantly misplacing it inside the house. Never be late for work again because you forgot where you set your phone down the night before. That’s assuming you don’t plug it in at night. If you’re running Android 5.0 Lollipop or you have the Moto X 2nd Gen. or Motorola Droid Turbo, you can also turn on the trusted devices function and make sure that your phone is never locked when your within the working range of the Motorola Key Link. You can grab one of these little guys for just $24.99, which we think is a worthwhile investment.
