Motorola-made Nexus 6 was announced by Google last month along with the Nexus 9, Nexus Player and the new version of Google’s operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop. Google has announced that the Nexus 6 will be available on a slew of carriers in US and Google’s phablet has just hit AT&T. Nexus 6 is now available for pre-order from AT&T and if you decide to get it it will ship within a week, at least that’s what it says on AT&T’s webpage at the moment, listed shipping date is November 18th. Prices start at $249.00 with a two-year contract while the full price of this phablet is set at $682.99. You can also get the device on one of AT&T’s Next plans. You have Next 12, Next 18 and Next 24 at your disposal, if you choose one of those the phone will cost you $34.15, $28.46 or $22.77 respectively. If you choose either of these Next plans (activate them for the first time) while buying the Nexus 6 you can get a $50 discount on Moto 360, Moto Hint or Moto Silver II. The phones is available in Midnight Blue color option only and it seems only 32GB model is available.
As I said, Nexus 6 is made by Motorola and this phone basically symbolizes Google’s shift to premium space as far as Nexus handsets are concerned. Its price is way higher than Nexus 5’s price was at launch, but that is to be expected considering the Nexus 6’s beastly spec sheet. Talking about specs, Nexus 6 features a 5.96-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s beastly Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz which comes along with an Adreno 420 GPU for graphics processing. On the back of this device you’ll find a 13-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera while there’s a 2-megapixel snapper located on the front of the device. Nexus 6 ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop and a non-removable 3220mAh battery. The Nexus 6 measures 159.3 x 83 x 10.1mm and weighs 184 grams while it sports a premium build as well.
This is a rather huge device considering its screen size, but thanks to that curve on the back and not much bezel, it actually feels quite nice in the hand. Don’t think it’s not huge though, because it is. If you’re interested in this beast of a phablet, you can now pre-order it from AT&T as mentioned above.
