India is getting a lot of cool stuff lately, which is not exactly a surprise considering it is one of the biggest markets in the world, 2nd biggest if I’m not mistaken. Google has kick-started company’s Android One program in India and the only 3 Android One devices are available over there for purchase, not to mention a ton of other manufacturer have sent their offerings over there or are about to do so, like Motorola for example. OnePlus seems ready to do the same thing though, the company will offer OnePlus One handset in India soon and will do so at a very affordable price it seems. According BGR’s info, OnePlus will offer OnePlus One for a sub-INR 25,000 ($405) price, we’re talking about a 64GB version of the handset here. Unfortunately, the device will be available through special invitations yet again, these invitations will be valid only for India. I’ve already said my piece when it comes to the invitation system many times before, so I won’t do it again. Either way, this will be a great offer for Indian consumers considering other flagships are significantly more expensive (over $600). OnePlus is expected to launch the device in India this December though we don’t have the exact date just yet.
OnePlus One comes featuring a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) LTPS LCD display along with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz which comes with the Adreno 330 GPU. On the back of it, you’ll find a 13-megapixel shooter and a dual-LED flash while there’s a 5-megapixel snapper located on the front of the device. 3100mAh non-removable battery ships with the device as well as Android 4.4.2 KitKat on top of which you’ll find Cyanogenmod ROM, you’ll basically be able to update this handset as soon as you get it to Android 4.4.4. This is an LTE device and it sports the usual array of sensors. Have you had the chance to play around with OnePlus One or do you own it by any change? For those of you located in India, is OnePlus One a device you’d consider buying at this price point?
