Now, I’m not a current user of Lollipop, simply because I haven’t had the opportunity to load it onto my device. So, my knowledge on some of the inner-workings of personal experiences may be a little limited. It seems however that there are more than a couple of bugs that have popped up within the software after it’s short time out in public since release. Some of them a little more major, others not really so much. This latest bug brought to our attention by the folks at Android Police seems to affect the recents menu. With Lollipop you might already know that the recents menu is a set of stacked cards which you can scroll through up and down.
It used to be set up as a list with an accompanying thumbnail image of each open app in the recent menu, however this new style UI is definitely more fitting. The bug in this case is nothing major, all that happens is that when you enter into recents and clear your cards out by swiping them away, you can leave the recents menu and go back in and there is a random card that shows back up. This happens right after you leave recents and go back in without opening up any more apps, so it seems kind of weird for it to pop up in the first place.
The cards that show up appear to vary too, so they aren’t always the same one, and some show up looking a little bit distorted, almost like the having the wrong dimensions set up for a monitor. This isn’t happening to all Lollipop users, but it seems that people from different devices seem to be having the issue, including some Nexus 5 and Moto X 2nd Gen. owners. Our own Tom Dawson doesn’t seem to be having the problem with the Nexus 9 tablet, so we wonder if it’s only happening to devices that update to Lollipop from Kit Kat. It’s also worth mentioning that the bug only seems to show up if you have a large amount of cards in the list, otherwise it’s pretty much non existent. Has anyone seen this on their own device?
