Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Video Running 5.0 Lollipop

I am excited while writing this article because I own and use a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and was curious about the new Android 5.0 Lollipop running on my device.  This exclusive video from our friends at SamMobile actually shows 5.0 Lollipop running on the Galaxy Note 3 and I have to agree with them that it looks like it is about ready to go – we may get a Lollipop for Christmas after all.  They got their hands on an internal build of Lollipop for the Note 3 and it gives us a peek at how Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, combined with the new features of Android 5.0 Lollipop, will look on our Galaxy Note 3 devices.  They claim that it looks a lot like the build on the Galaxy S4, but with Settings updated – as there are many more options and settings needed with the Note 3 – and the inclusion of the Multi-Window update.

Some changes that they ‘note’ are that the new animations are smoother than before and the core green elements of Android Lollipop being replaced by Samsung’s signature blue color…which is fine with me, as blue is my favorite color.  You will be able to see these throughout the video and in our screenshots, as well as the new system-wide font, new icon colors in the Settings area…giving it an overall better look and feel to the device.  SamMobile tells us that the new Multi-Window found on the new Galaxy Note 4 is also ported over, making multitasking even easier on the Note 3.

The video walks you through many of the Galaxy Note 3’s menus, some of which I captured in the photo gallery below.  It gives you a real good idea of the look and feel we can expect when the OTA upgrade hits us.  Other than mentioning one inconsistency – calling out to Samsung when he said, “we know that you are watching” – it looks to be about ready to go.  He went through the Dialer, Browser, Settings, Contacts, Text Messaging, Emails, Gallery (changed quite a bit from what I am seeing now), Calendar, Tabs Manager, Clock area (different from what I am seeing now – much nicer in 5.0) and many more, so make sure you take a look. Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know what you think about the video and Android 5.0 Lollipop…as always, we would love to hear from you.
