When it comes to smartphones, sometimes the best thing about the new release are the many commercials that are thrown out there for our entertainment. Many of the commercials bash the other manufacturers’ devices, and unless you happen to like the phone being bashed, I personally, think they are pretty funny and clever. Samsung does this quite regularly with Apple’s products and I really hope to see some good Samsung Galaxy Note 4 versus Apple iPhone 6 Plus commercials – I think Samsung could do really good job with them and I look forward to seeing some in the near future…sometimes you just have to hit some people over the head before they realize what they are missing out by going with simply a BIG device.
This has been my crusade since other so-called phablets have hit the streets that Samsung paved the way for via their Galaxy Note series. I have always like the larger display and felt that 3.5 – 4.5 inches was just not large enough to do much more than have a list of contacts, make phone calls or text message – I didn’t even like to read emails, much less answer one on a small display. When Samsung first came out with the original 5.3-inch Galaxy Note, exclusively on AT&T in 2011, I was so excited about the larger screen, and overlooked the device’s greatest asset – the S-Pen and its software. I was on Verizon so I waited and purchased the 5-5-inch Note 2 and subsequently the 5.7-inch Note 3, and each rendition got better.
What is so nice about these Galaxy Note 4 commercials that were just released is that the S-Pen and the fun you can have with it is the emphasis – not bashing other devices. The first one is called, “Ready, Set Photo War” where Samsung uses some girl friends that decide to have a “Photo War,” sending pictures back and forth of what each other is eating, but also using the S-Pen to jot ‘notes’ down on top of the photos try to up one another. The other ad is called ‘Ready, Set, Saved,” about a poor fellow lost in the desert trying to determine if he can get back to base camp before he has to go to the bathroom – again using his S-Pen on the map on his Note 4. After determining it is too far, he succumbs to his unstoppable urges behind a big rock…funny stuff!
The point of the commercials is to show you a couple of ways to use the S-Pen, something that differentiates the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from other simply large display devices. Please hit us up on our Google+ Page and let us know if you like the Note series, use the S-Pen, and if you are planning to purchase the new Galaxy Note 4…as always, we would love to hear from you.
