The amount of Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors and leaks is growing by the day. Samsung will quite probably launch this device in Q1 2015 and we’re going to see a ton of rumors by then. We’ve already heard that the device might sport a dual-edged screen, 4K screen, 4GB of RAM and a 64bit CPU. I doubt we’ll see a 4K screen on the Galaxy S6 considering Samsung will hardly managed to mass produce such screens before Q3-Q4 2015, but it’s way too early to say whether any of these rumors are true of course. We did get a rather interesting report lately though, according to SamMobile’s sources, Samsung is calling the Galaxy S6 development “Project Zero“, which is interesting because Samsung usually codenames their flagship devices with a single letter, not this time though. That very same report also said that this Korean giant will completely re-invent the Galaxy S6 handset and that it won’t be an iterative update to the Galaxy S5. Samsung will almost certainly use metal in order to build this thing as well and by the looks of it, the S6 could be a rather interesting smartphone.
Leaks and rumors are not the only pieces of information that are coming our way though, concept images / videos are also a part of the picture. Every time before a company releases a major device we see a ton of concept images / videos roaming around. 3G.co.uk released one such video accompanied by a ton of images, you can check out the video itself below the article, same goes for the images as well. This 2min video clip shows us a metal-built Galaxy S6 and lists specifications which 3G.co.uk probably believes will be included in the Galaxy S6 or should be included in there. In this video, Galaxy S6 is sporting a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, stereo speakers and a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). This concept actually looks quite believable actually, the design is along the lines of Samsung’s usual Galaxy smartphones and these specifications are… well, it could happen. Samsung might take a different approach to the S6’s design though, I don’t know what exactly that means, but I hope they will take a step back and seriously redesign the device, not that it was anything wrong with its looks thus far, but it might be time to refresh the line somewhat. My main complaint is Samsung’s software though, as always, so I hope Samsung will seriously revamp its software offering.
