The Ascend Mate 7 Has Exceeded Huawei's Expectations

Huawei announced company’s Ascend Mate 7 phablet at this year’s IFA in Berlin. This is a really powerful machine and it comes in two variants, sporting 2 and 3GB of RAM. It seems like Huawei underestimated its product, in other words, they underestimated the demand for this handset. According to the latest report from China, Huawei received a ton of order for the Ascend Mate 7 and didn’t prepare properly, the company sold 12,000 units during the 1 month this handset has been available. This doesn’t sound like a lot, but the company just didn’t expect it. This doesn’t mean the company won’t be able to deliver enough handsets, far from it, Huawei has a significant production chain and they’ll deliver the ordered amount without an issue, but this is an interesting piece of information. The main reason Huawei didn’t expect such demand is because the company didn’t invest all that much in Ascend Mate 7’s marketing push, they just didn’t market the handset like they should. This actually raises the question how many units would consumers order if Huawei actually pushed the handset properly through marketing. Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a really powerful piece of technology, one which we’ve reviewed, if you’re interested, you can read it here.
