OnePlus One has been one of the most interesting devices of 2014. This beast is based off of Oppo Find 7 as far as the design goes and it’s a real beauty in my humble opinion. That’s not the main story here though, OnePlus One is a high-end smartphone with an extremely affordable price tag, this handset is priced at $299 for the 16GB version and $349 for the 64GB version and considering the fact this thing packs a Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display along with a 13-megapixel camera, that’s a real bargain if you think about it. This handset also comes with CyanogenMod pre-installed, which is also a great thing, you get regular updates, no bloat, and an extremely customizable UI to play around with. That being said, OnePlus made many mistakes when it comes to selling this thing, starting with the invitation-only rule which was followed with some other annoyances, but we’re not here to talk about that though.
We’re here to talk about an alleged OnePlus Two image we’ve just stumbled upon. If you take a look above this article you’ll notice the image itself. We really can’t say for sure whether this is fake or not, but I’d say it is. The front side of the handset looks basically identical to the OnePlus One, I doubt OnePlus wouldn’t change anything when it comes to the design of the front side of this handset. Anyhow, things get rather interesting if you look at the back side of the phone, which looks completely different than the one on the current-gen OnePlus One. The camera sensor seems bigger and there’s only a single-LED flash on there, compared to One’s dual-LED flash. The most interesting thing on the back is the ePaper-like display, or at least it seems that way.
I really, really doubt this image is legit, especially considering the phone is due to launch in Q2-Q3 of 2015, but who knows. What do you think, do you believe this image is actually legit or not? It definitely looks fake to me, but I’d like to hear what you guys have to say about it.
