Amazon Extends Free Shipping on Amazon Devices Through Tuesday, With or Without Prime

We’re approaching crunch time, and what I mean by that is, we’re approaching the time when you won’t be able to get your items before Christmas. With Christmas being next Thursday, many retailers shipping cut off dates are this week. However, Amazon has just dropped a note in our inbox that select Amazon devices will be eligible for free two day shipping until Monday, or 1 day shipping on Tuesday. And they will arrive on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th.

So what devices are eligible? Well there’s the Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, Fire HD, Fire HD Kids Edition, Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Fire HDX 8.9 – as well as Amazon Fire TV and Fire phone. All of which are available for free shipping. And this isn’t just for Amazon Prime members either. This is for everyone that wants to grab an Amazon device this holiday season as a stocking stuffer or to stick under the tree.

This isn’t their entire collection of devices either, in fact the one that’s most notably missing is the Fire TV Stick. However, we should see that soon. It’s been sold out for a while and won’t be shipping until January at this point. It’s a great little stick, which I really enjoyed while I was reviewing it over the past few weeks, but the Fire TV does all of what the Fire TV Stick does, plus a bit more. For an Android purist, I’d recommend the Fire TV, because it does everything Android TV does, but it also has Amazon Instant Video, and if you’re a Prime member, then you have that included, so might as well use it, right?

How many of you are planning on picking up a Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, Fire HD, Fire HD Kids Edition, Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Fire HDX 8.9 – as well as Amazon Fire TV and Fire phone in the next few days? If you do pick one up, be sure to let us know in the comments below how you like it.
