Amazon have been on the give recently. It was only last week on Christmas Eve when the online retailer decided to offer one of its mega free-app-of-the-day promotions. This meant the company was offering a whole bunch of usually paid apps for free. In fact, it was effectively their biggest free app promotion ever as the combined value of all the apps (at their usual value) was $220. The promotion was geared towards Christmas and as such only ran from December 24th through to the 26th.
Well, that was last week and if you did not pick up enough paid apps for free, then don’t worry as it seems Amazon are on the give again. If you haven’t figured it out yet, this app bundle giveaway is to celebrate the new year. Now, in terms of the combined value this is certainly not as big as the giveaway we saw last week with the combined value of all the apps on offer this time coming in at $110. That said, this is certainly one you want to take a peek at there is some seriously good apps on offer in today’s promotion.
The current promotion consists of thirty-three paid apps. As such (and as usual) there are too many to list here. But to fill you in on the ones that immediately stand out. First up, Monopoly. This is the full Android version and is simply a must get. If you are an Angry Birds fan then you might want to grab Angry Birds Star Wars II. One of the real big names in this giveaway is Republique. This is considered one of the best games currently available on Android and is usually priced on Amazon for $4.99 (and it still is at this price on the Play Store). So for the grand total of free, this is another must get. If you are an avid app-grabber of these amazing giveaways then there will be a few titles you will already have in your stockpile like Fruit Ninja (Ghostbusters edition) and Riptide GP2. Repetitions aside though, there are some decent titles available. You can see the full list of what’s on offer by clicking here or alternatively hit up your Amazon Appstore on your Android device, The apps will remain free until January 2nd.
