Android 5.0 Lollipop Now Arriving In South Korea On The Samsung Galaxy S5

Since Android 5.0 (Lollipop) was released the whole world has gone Lollipop mad. Everyone wants a lick of that Lollipop and waiting for it to land on their device. While some of us (Nexus, Motorola and kinda LG) have gotten an early taste of the elusive lollipop, the rest of us are left waiting. A lot of eyes will be on Samsung in terms of this epic update, as after all, they are the largest android smartphone manufacturer and that means a lot of users will be waiting.

A few days ago we did report that the first of the Samsung users had started to get the update hitting their devices. However, this was a very specific set of people. In fact, the rollout was only hitting Samsung Galaxy S5 users and to add to that, S5 users specifically in Poland. As to be expected other countries will eventually receive the update and it looks like next on the list is South Korea. Yes, Samsung’s home market seems to be next to get the Lollipop update with reports coming in that the update has begun rolling out to S5 devices. At the moment, the details of the roll-out are limited and all that is being reported is that the update began rolling out to KT, SK Telecom and LG Uplus models of the S5. So if you are based in South Korea and are on any of the carriers mentioned, then you should start to see the update landing soon (if you have not already).

So there you go. If you are in South Korea then keep a look out for the update landing. If you are in Poland then chances are you already have it. If you are elsewhere then you will have to keep waiting like the rest of us. Either way and regardless of when you get your update.
