Featured Review: Anker Portable Multi-Angle Stand for Smartphones and Tablets

Today, we have something that’s somewhat of an oldie, but still a goodie. I actually bought this desk stand from Anker over 6 months ago (back in April I do believe) and it sits on my desk next to my monitor holding my phone every day, and sometimes my tablet. It’s a great stand, and I totally forgot to review it until today. So it’s time to jot down some thoughts on this inexpensive desk stand, as it will make a great gift this holiday season.

This stand isn’t huge, and it does fold flat, making it great for travel and such. When I flew to Beijing, China last month for Meizu’s MX4 Pro event I used this stand on the plane and it worked really well. It also takes up little to no space in your carry on bag, which is another big plus. Because it does fold flat, you can also put it at other angles to your liking, which is really nice to have. As you can see in the images below, it does hold two smartphones, as I did have the Moto X and Nexus 6 there. It can also hold a tablet or two, but I don’t have a tablet in my possession right now (other than the iPad Air, which probably isn’t a good idea to put in this review).

It’s a great stand for your tablet as you can put your tablet in landscape mode and watch a movie on your desk while you are “working”, but shhh don’t tell the boss. You can also set your phone on the stand and see when notifications come through, especially if you have the Moto X, as it’ll breath and show which app is sending you a notification, which is one of my favorite features.

This is an aluminum stand, and as you can see there are some scratches and such on my stand here. But it’s been used everyday for the last 8 months or so. In my opinion, that’s kind of expected, when it’s used as much as I use it. It’s on sale now through Amazon for just $10, which is a pretty nice price for this type of stand. It’s available in both silver and black for those interested.
