Featured: Top 10 Best Android Drawing Apps and Games

No matter if you’re using your finger, a stylus or you’re a fancy Galaxy Note owner, there are plenty of apps and games out there that can improve your artistic abilities as well as give you chance to have fun with it. From apps that teach you how to draw, to games that connect you with others, our Top 10 Best Android Drawing Apps and Games should have something for everyone.

Draw Rider

Draw Rider is a fun game on its own, having to dodge obstacles and get to the end of the track is fun enough. However, once you get involved with the Level Editor and you start creating your own tracks that Draw Rider becomes even more fun. A fun, black and white game that feels like you’re playing in a game in the pages of someone’s sketchbook, there’s a lot to love about Draw Rider.

Bamboo Paper

The above image is something that I quickly drew myself with Bamboo Paper, and it’s a refreshing break from other drawing apps. A personal favorite of mine, Bamboo Paper is a tablet-only application and if you have a decent capacitive stylus, you can achieve some brilliant results. From the same company that develops graphics tablets for artists all over the world, this is one of the best ways to draw or jot notes on your Android tablet.

Kids Doodle – Color Draw – Pro

A fun option for little ones – and big kids – Kids Doodle is a blank canvas with a whole array of different pens, colors and a funky glow pen to boot. The video mode, which allows you to replay a work as it was being created is a really fun feature for kids and can definitely help them get interested in drawing. You can use this wherever you want, without the need for coloring books or anything else. It’s a good option, that’s for sure.

SketchBook Express

Again, this is perhaps something for those with a decent stylus and a lot of talent in their wrists, but SketchBook Express, from the Autodesk folks, is an excellent on-the-go option. Bridging the gap between something more serious, and something easily managed, SketchBook Express is good for Android tablets and if you’re one prone to getting ideas that hit you like bullets then this can help you lock them down.

Learn to Draw Lego Superheroes

If there are two things that are big right now it’s Lego and Superheroes. So, how about learning to draw with those two things put together? This Learn to Draw app is simple to get to grips with, with step-by-step outlines and grid lines to keep you on the right path. A fun thing for you to do with the kids (or just on your own as I plan to do) this is a cool app.

Draw Something

Draw Something might not be all the rage as it used to be, but it’s still one of the most universal way to connect with friends online. Drawing something and then having them guess is something we’ve been doing for years now, and we still get a kick out of it. It might not be as popular as it used to be, but a good game is still a good game.

How to Draw Human Faces

Let’s face it, if we’re looking to draw things, there’s a good chance we want to draw something human, something familiar. Let’s just say that if you could draw a picture of your other half, you’ll gain some extra credit. That’s where How to Draw Human Faces comes in. Like the app for Lego Superherous, this can help you perfect your drawing skills while also providing you something else to do on those cold nights.

AutoDesk SketchBook

A tool for serious designers and artists on the move, Autodesk’s full blown SketchBook app works wonders on Android tablets. It’s got so many features it’d be pointless for me to try and list them all here. Everything works great with a stylus, and even better with an S-Pen on a Galaxy Note device. With pro-level features, Autodesk has done the unthinkable and bought desktop-level artistry to Android.

Draw N Guess Multiplayer

Like what Draw Something, but fed up with the same old games? Well, Draw N Guess Multiplayer is a fresh take on the fun genre of guessing what’s what. While it’s fairly basic, there is a lot to love about the game and like I said, if you like the genre, but need a change of pace, this is what you’re looking for.
