Featured: Top 10 Best Android Smartphone & Tablets Battery Life – 2014

For many of us the most important thing we look for in a new device(smartphone or tablet)is battery life. Battery life can mean the difference between calling that person back because trust us… you know it’s important, and missing on the single greatest opportunity of your lifetime. A little extra battery life can also means just a couple additional hours of juice during the day with which to get some work done whether that’s responding to emails or typing up a document. And of course, for the gamers a little better battery life might just ensure you the game doesn’t die on you before you get to the next save point, or before you have a chance to hit the save option if there are no save points.

PC Mark is great for measuring every day performance of Android devices, but as Futuremark states it also measures battery life based on the same tasks as the PC Mark for measuring every day performance. Now, keep in mind that these results are not going to necessarily reflect how the battery life is for you on the devices listed. For example, the Xperia Z3 is fairly far down the list at 28, but if you look at the list from the screenshots I have posted above, you’ll see the number one device was rated by PC Mark with 13 hours and 12 minutes. Since I use my device differently than how this test was ran, I can easily get quite a bit more than 13 hours of battery life in a given day before I plug things in. In any case, check out the list above of the top 10 devices from this year for battery life based off of PC Mark’s benchmark test. In the image, the green bar represents battery life while the grey bar represents the performance score. You can see the image above for the top 10 devices or you can view the full list here at this link.
