If you grew up in the late 90’s-2000’s in your teen years and you listened to rock, you probably listened to Linkin Park. Their breakout debut hit album Hybrid Theory was all anyone could talk about with its mashup sound of the hard rock vocals of Chester Bennington, and hip-hop smooth lyrics from MC Mike Shinoda. Whether you have listened to Linkin Park and have been a loyal fan since the beginning, or have just recently started to pick up their sound and see why so many fans chose to stick around for each following album release, their latest album and sixth studio release called ‘The Hunting Party‘ is being thrown out for free this week on Google Play Music.
This latest album stays true to their roots that made them a monster on the billboard charts, but manages to give off enough of a new sound to keep the album fresh. It’s as “Linkin Park” as it can be without trying to rehash old sounds and inevitably take on an un-evolved state. Basically, the album is badass and if you’re a Linkin Park fan it’s worth paying for. Thanks to this week’s deal though, as we stated above you won’t have to because Google Play is giving the album out for free which almost makes it a nice early Christmas gift.
This is a U.S. only deal so anybody outside the U.S. won’t be able to get the album for free, but it is apparently discounted in some other regions. The deal on The Hunting Party stays active until December 23rd, so you still have a good six days or so before it goes back up to the original price. It almost makes me sad that I get to miss out on it because the album is so good, getting it for free would have been an amazing deal, I picked it up however back in June after I noticed the recent release. Nevertheless it was still worth it then. Linkin Park’s The Hunting Party joins other free deals on Google Play this week like The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring in HD, which you can also still pick up at no cost. Tis’ the season and Google is handing out some really sweet deals so be sure not to miss out.
