Google has been on a rampage over the last couple of months with updates. This is largely driven by the changeover from Android 4.4 (KitKat) to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and the new Material Design guidelines. As a result, Google have been updating all of their apps and services and an almost daily basis. Yesterday, a load of updates rolled out to the likes of Play Games and other Google Services and now it is the turn of Google’s lovable Play Store. The update brings the Play Store to 5.1.11
The biggest change in this update is the inclusion of a new My Account page. The name is quite self-explanatory but just to bring you up to speed the My Account page offers a clear and neat overview of your account. This includes information on your payment options and purchases. As you can see in the images below, the overview shows all your recent Play Store purchases in a single view. By clicking on the payment options page you can adjust how you pay or add-in a new payment option. Overall, it seems to add a rather easy and manageable way to make sure all your payments and purchases are in check. There is also a more minor update to the navigation menu which now is full length. If you remember (or if you check if you haven’t already received the update) you will see that the navigation menu does not come pass the colorred bar. Well, it does now. At the moment, it is not clear if there are any other major or notable upgrades as we have just got the update. That said, if we notice any we will update in you due course.
The app has just gone live and devices will be updated in due course. You know what Google are like with rolling-out. If you simply cannot wait though then you can sideload the app by clicking here.
