We’ve seen a ton of rumors, leaks and official teaser regarding Huawei Glory (or Honor, depending on the region) 6 Plus handset. Huawei has finally launched this handset in China, so let’s check what it has to offer. Huawei Glory 6 Plus features a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with 3GB of RAM for all your multitasking needs and 16 (3G / 4G) or 32GB (4G) of internal storage which you can expand via MicroSD card up to 128GB. This handset is powered by Huawei’s very own Kirin 925 octa-core processor (quad Cortex A15 + quad Cortex A7), that’s not all though, this handset apparently features an extra processor on the side which is called ISP (Dedicated Signal Image Processor). The source doesn’t explain the use of this processor, but I bet it’s there to handle some camera processing or something to that effect. Mali T628 MP4 GPU is here to take care of graphics processing. This handset has two 8-megapixel cameras on the back, while the front-facing camera isn’t mentioned, but I guess we’re talking about a 8-megapixel snapper. 3600mAh battery is included in this device and it should provide more than enough battery to last you through the day.
The 5.5-inch display offer 1500:1 high contrast ratio and up to 85% color saturation. The Kirin 925 processor supports Cat.6 LTE network connectivity, so you can get up to 300Mbps download speeds, although you’ll hardly find a network which will offer you that. The handset itself is made out of metal, plastic and glass basically, it sports a metal frame and glass on the back while plastic is also a part of the picture. Take a look at the images down below and things will become a whole lot clearer. This handset camera seems to be a really capable shooter (even in low-lit conditions), it offers a ton of software features and you get some sort of 3D and blue effects, as I said, there are a lot of features included in here. These cameras can focus in just 0.1 seconds according to Huawei, which is great. Power saving features are also available, which you probably won’t even need considering the battery size. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Huawei’s Emotion 3.0 UI on top of it.
Huawei actually released two versions of this device, one offers 3G connectivity, while the other one comes with the dual 4G LTE connectivity. The regular 3G version is priced at 1,999 Yuan ($322) while the dual 4G version costs 2,499 Yuan ($403). This is a rather significant upgrade over the Glory 6 handset which was launched a while back and it’s a rather affordable handset in my opinion. 1,999 Yuan isn’t that much at all if you consider this handset’s specifications. Black, White and Gold color options will be available should you decide to purchase a copy (Gold is a 4G LTE exclusive).
