Infinium Z45 Is A New Mid-Ranger By Videocon For The Indian Market Priced At Rs. 4,999 ($79)

Videocon is an Indian company which is not that well-known outside of Asia. This company manufactures a lot of stuff, smartphones are certainly one of the devices this company pushes out to the market. They have recently unveiled their Infinium Z50 smartphone, just a couple of days ago actually, and now the company has yet another handset to show us, the Infinium Z45.

Both of these devices are mid-range affordable smartphones which actually sell really well in India. Infinium Z45 features a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 IPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which you can expand via MicroSD card up to 32GB. This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6582 processor which ships with Mali-400 GPU for graphics processing. 5-megapixel camera is located at the back of this handset, while there’s a 2-megapixel snapper available up front. There is also a LED flash next to that 5-megapixel shooter and we’re talking about a BSI sensor here. This is a dual-SIM device and it ships with Android 4.4 KitKat and a 1700mAh battery. As far as connectivity goes, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G HSPA+ connectivity options along with Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack are also here, of course. The device measures 133.5 x 65 x 8.5mm and it weighs 131 grams.

Videocon Infinium Z50 is a somewhat better specced than the Z45, but not by much. They both boast the same processor and are equal in the amount of RAM you get on the inside, the Z50 has a bigger, higher-res display and a bigger sensor on the back. This device is a Rs. 1,000 cheaper though, the Z50 costs Rs. 5,999 ($95) while this one will set you back Rs. 4,999 ($79). Not everyone will be interested in a device like this, especially not those of you who like to have the latest and the greatest or are heavy smartphone users, but for regular consumers this device should perform just fine. The device is available in Sparkling Black and White color options and you can get it exclusively via Flipkart, if you live in India, of course.
