With Christmas now only 24 days away, you can bet that millions of people will be looking to Amazon to fulfill their shopping needs for gifts and all kinds of other goods. Amazon is good at selling us stuff, and we’re good at buying things from their online store, with Amazon Prime and a handful of other shipping options they make it easy to get what we want in nearly no time at all. Most of the time. We can even shop for stuff in their huge online store from the web on our desktop or laptop computers, or from any number of tablets and smartphones through the official Amazon app.
With how easy things are to buy though have you ever wondered just what the inside of one of Amazon’s massive shipping warehouses looks like? After seeing what goes on, it certainly makes you appreciate the way that Amazon does business and is able to provide us with limitless options of all kinds of different products, considering the inside of their warehouse looks like a chaotic bustling hive of worker bees making sure logistics and everything else is on point. Black Friday may be over, but that gives way to Cyber Monday, which is today of course, and that means Amazon is probably going to be busier than ever with tons of posted deals and people ready to click the buy button at a moment’s notice.
Amazon holds more than 90 fulfillment warehouses globally, and 50 of those are right here in the U.S. which makes perfect sense considering much of their business comes from U.S. residents, and that they’re a Seattle,WA based company. It’s easy to take things for granted when things are made so easy, which is exactly what the shopping experience on Amazon is like, but rest assured running something as massive as Amazon is probably anything but easy when there’s a huge infrastructure and inner-network of products coming straight from Amazon themselves as well as the large number of online stores who sell through Amazon. While viewing things from the outside is great as a consumer, sometimes it’s pretty cool to see how things work on the inside.
