Meizu is holding an event tomorrow where they’ll most likely announce two new handsets. We might see some additional devices announced as part of the “Blue Charm” line, but I somehow doubt that, I believe that Meizu will announce their Blue Charm and Blue Charm Note handsets tomorrow and wrap up for the day. Either way, it will be an interesting day for us and for this company, especially if the leaks pan out in the end. Talking about leaks, we just stumbled upon a new one. China’s retailer, Jingdong Mall (JD.com), published something really interesting. They announced that they’ll accept pre-orders for the Blue Charm handset after Meizu’s event tomorrow, they did not specify which device they’re talking about though, but they did announce the price. JD.com said that the pricing will be set at 1,299 Yuan ($209), and the device in question is most probably the Blue Charm Note handset, considering we expect the Note’s smaller brother to be somewhat more affordable, perhaps 999 or 1,099 Yuan ($161 or $177), we’ll see.
Regarding the specifications of this device / these devices… Meizu Blue Charm Note got certified by TENAA a couple of days ago, and according to that listing, the device will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This handset will most probably be powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 chip, even though the manufacturer wasn’t mentioned in TENAA’s listing. This is a 64-bit octa-core SoC by MediaTek and will be clocked at 1.7GHz. Mali T760 GPU comes with the aforementioned SoC and will be in charge of graphics processing. 13-megapixel camera will be located at the back of this handset, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel snapper on its front side. Meizu Blue Charm Note will come with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top of it. The device will measure 150.7 — 75.2 — 9mm and weight 146 grams.White, Blue, Red, Green, Pink and Yellow colors will be available according to TENAA, but Meizu might include some additional options as well.
Meizu Blue Charm will quite probably get announced too, this handset will basically be the same as the Blue Charm Note, but it will sport a smaller 4.7 or a 4.8-inch display, while keeping the 1080p resolution. Would you be interested in purchasing the Blue Charm Note if its price turns out to be a 1,299 Yuan ($209)?
