Meizu MX4 was released back in September and it is definitely the phone which made sure Meizu, as a company, gets a ton of attention from the media all around the world. That fact actually peaked some interest from consumers as well and even though Meizu is a rather well-known company in China, not many people outside of Asia have heard of it, until Meizu MX4 launched that is. This device is a really impressive product and also extremely affordable. Meizu had some issues meeting the demand at first, but the company managed to solve all those issues rather soon and deliver all pre-ordered phones, though some arrived a bit late. That aside, it seems like the demand for this handset is still rather high. Meizu offered 50,000 MX4 units for sale via its official website in China and managed to sell all of those extremely soon. It seems a bit odd Meizu offers MX4 handsets in batches, doesn’t it? Well, Meizu’s VP, Li Nan, said the company is working on upgrading its production system and has promised the company will make the device available in greater quantities soon. He also mentioned that everything will be set for Meizu MX4 Pro‘s launch on December 6. The company has promised (on numerous occasions) that the MX4 Pro sales will go smoothly.
MX4 was Meizu’s flagship for about two and a half months, until the company released the MX4 Pro, which happened quite recently actually. Meizu MX4 features a 5.36-inch 1080p (1920 x 1152) display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6595 octa-core processor is powering on this device along with PowerVR Series 6 GPU. 20.7-megapixel shooter is located at the back of the device along with a dual LED, dual tone flash, while there’s a 5-megapixel snapper on the front side of this smartphone, which will come in handy if you’d like to take a selfie from time to time. MX4 comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Meizu’s Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it. The device measures 144 x 75.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 147 grams.
Despite the fact Meizu MX4 Pro launched, the original MX4 is still a really great device. If you’re unwilling to spend the additional 700 Yuan to get Meizu’s latest and greatest offering, MX4 might be just the thing for you.
