OnePlus have had their share of headlines over the past year. Even more so over the past few weeks with the news of their supposed fallout between themselves and their software partner, Cyanogen. With all that bad news circulating, OnePlus One owners might be feeling a little down recently. So here is some good news to cheer you up. It seems OnePlus are launching a new holiday giveaway to welcome in the New Year. The new promotion by OnePlus is being touted as ‘7 Days Of Giveaways’ and as the name suggests will run for the next seven days and give users a different offering each day. According to the blog post (source link below), this is their biggest giveaway ever and as such you can look forward to a number of sweet deals. At the moment, OnePlus are keeping quiet on what will be offered although one interesting sentence in the post reads “we will feature some of the coolest gadgets, apps, and accessories from our friends in the tech industry‘. That said, Day One has now kicked off and here is what is on offer.
If you are interested in further customizing your OnePlus One then today, OnePlus are offering invite codes for the new Flow Home launcher. This is an Android launcher which is designed to replace your stock launcher. As the name suggests, this one is higher focused on a more flowing based approach to how your launcher works and displays. Instead of the traditional (and boring) icons and widgets, Flow Home offers more fluid widgets which update in real time. So instead of a Facebook icon, this launcher offers a small Facebook window widget which can display the most recent updates in view. Likewise for a number of your other apps including Twitter, Instagram and so on. Not to mention, gone is the use of swiping from right to left to access your menus and instead, using Flow, you can continually scroll through your options, menu and app menus.
Flow is currently only available as a closed beta and as such you need an invite to try the service and this is where today’s OnePlus promotion comes in. You may be thinking – OK, so what do I have to do for an invite? But that is the point. You do not have to do anything to gain the invite. For today’s giveaway, OnePlus are simply giving away invites. What’s more is that there is no limit to how many users can try the Flow Home Launcher. Invites are not number limited and to take advantage of the deal you simply download the app from the Play Store and use the code ‘ONEPLS’ to activate the service. So there you go, no competition, no entering, no controversial selfies need to be taken, this is simply a OnePlus giveaway.
