Samsung’s Galaxy S and Galaxy Note devices are always one of the most expected devices to hit the market. The Galaxy S6 handset is expected to launch in February or March 2015, which is only 2-3 months away, and we’ve already seen a ton of leaks when it comes to this device, some reports even suggested the handset will launch at CES in January, but that’s highly unlikely. Anyhow, a new leak arrived our way, allegedly showing off the Galaxy S6 running Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz on top of Google’s OS.
This leak comes from Toranji, an Iranian blog, so that’s the first thing that strikes me as weird. Toranji doesn’t exactly have a long track record of solid leaks and it seems odd for a Galaxy S6 leak to come from Iran, but hey, it’s possible I guess. Anyhow, if you take a look below this article, you’ll notice two images, the first one shows off the alleged Galaxy S6 in three colors running Android, while the second one compares the device to some other Samsung Galaxy S handsets.
I have to be honest here, I doubt this is legit. The device looks way to ordinary, the reports that we’ve been getting suggested that Samsung intends to re-design the Galaxy S6 and re-introduce it as something eye-catching and perhaps even ground-breaking. Samsung really needs a great Galaxy S6 in order to stop their profit drops which have been occurring this year. I don’t know how you feel about the device in these images, but I’m really underwhelmed and really doubt this is legit, but I’m not that great at predictions, I expected Samsung to do the same thing with the Galaxy S5 and that didn’t happen, so… Let us know what you think.
The Galaxy S6 is expected to feature a 5.2 or 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display. This handset will allegedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC, a 64-bit octa-core chip and will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it. All kinds of crazy rumors came our way when it comes to this handset, so it’s hard to say what’s real and what isn’t, but we have to keep our expectations as low as possible (realistic).
