This year’s Galaxy S5 (pictured above) was a great release from Samsung, but it’s safe to say that it was hardly all that well received. In fact, both the media as well as die-hard Samsung fans were expecting much more from Samsung. Sadly, we didn’t see the revolutionary new Samsung flagship we were all hoping for and instead, we began to look forward to 2015’s Galaxy S release. Speculation has already begun concerning the next Galaxy S device, and details have started to appear online, but with a launch in February most likely, it’s still quite early to say anything at all is set in stone. Still, the chances that Samsung has finalized the hardware design is beginning production is possible.
What could be the rumored aluminum frame for the Galaxy S6 has appeared online in leaked photos. In a trio of photos, an aluminum frame of some sorts is shown off at some stage before final production. It’s not easy to make out in these photos, but there is a slight look of Galaxy Alpha about the frame and there’s a close-up shot of what could be a whole for a microUSB port. The frame itself looks pretty large as well, which could be a hint that a larger Galaxy S6 is on the cards.
Could these be photos of the frame in production? Well, there’s a chance they could be of course, but it’s more likely that these are pictures of a metal frame to be used in a rumored 5.5-inch Galaxy A device. No matter what though, it sure seems like 2015 is going to be a big year for Samsung, after 2014 was full of mediocre releases and falling profits. We’re not sure what the Galaxy S6 is going to be, and we’re still months away from anything official on the matter. As such, take all of this with a few sprinkles of salt and stay tuned.
