Sony Xperia Z4 Compact and Xperia Z4 Ultra Specs Leak Out

We’re getting close to Sony releasing a few new phones, and we’re expecting it either at CES or Mobile World Congress in January and March, respectively. It looks like this year they are going with an Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4 Compact and Xperia Z4 Ultra. And today, specs of both the Xperia Z4 Compact and Xperia Z4 Ultra have leaked out, and give us a good idea of what to expect with the Xperia Z4 series soon.

Starting with the Sony Xperia Z4 Compact, it’ll be the successor to the Xperia Z3 Compact which came out this past fall. And it appears that the Xperia Z4 Compact will be keeping those flagship specs, which is a pretty big deal to a lot of people. The screen is expected to be a 4.7-inch 1080p display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. It’ll also be sporting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage along with a 20.7MP camera, which seems to be the same sensor we’ve had since the Xperia Z2 earlier this year. It’s still a great sensor. It’ll be IP68 water and dust resistant. Also featuring LTE Cat. 9, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Qi Wireless Charging. Speaking of the battery, we’re looking at a hefty 3,000mAh battery inside.

It’s been rumored that Sony is going to be hitting the phablet market hard in 2015. And if these Xperia Z4 Ultra Rumors are right, then it’ll be a big contender. The Xperia Z4 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.44-inch display similar to the Xperia Z Ultra from last year. It will be a Quad HD Display, and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It’ll also feature 3GB of RAM and have 32GB of storage. It’s also said to have between a 3500 and 4,000mAH battery inside. Unfortunately, it’ll have a 16MP camera on the back instead of the 20.7MP that the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z4 Compact are supposedly going to have. Which isn’t terrible, but we’d like to see the same camera on all three smartphones.

It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how well these two sell for Sony. Specifically the Xperia Z4 Ultra, as everyone loves their Compact smartphones.
