Spice is an Indian smartphone manufacturer which just keeps on releasing devices. The company was one of the three Google Android One launch partners in India when they released the Spice Dream Uno 498 handset which is now available for purchase in India. This smartphone manufacturer has launched a bunch of devices since then. The newest handset in the bunch is called Stellar 520n, which is an upgraded version of the Stellar 520 which launched back in July. This handset sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 32GB). This handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, quite probably a MediaTek chip, though the SoC brand wasn’t revealed. On the back of this handset, you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera flanked by an LED flash while there’s a 2-megapixel camera located on the front side of this handset. This is a dual-SIM handset and it comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed. 2,000mAh battery is located inside of this device along with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack and the FM Radio. This is a 3G HSPA+ device, so you don’t get the 4G LTE connectivity option.
“We are delighted to launch the Stellar 520n exclusively on Amazon, thereby offering our customers a superior product and retail experience at the same time. The Stellar 520n is a great product offering the perfect combination of great aesthetics and superior performance. We are convinced that with Amazon’s excellent reach and our great product, this exclusive tie up will enchant our customers.” said Prashant Bindal, CEO of Spice Mobility. This handset is priced at MRP of INR 9,999 ($162), but it is available exclusively from Amazon for a price of INR 6,999 ($113), which is actually a solid deal. If you decide to purchase this handset, you’ll also get a free Flip Cover and 3 back panels in Red, White and Yellow colors. Keep in mind that this is a limited time offer, so if you’re thinking of getting this handset, don’t wait for long. As far as device’s design goes, I don’t see anything special, a rather solid look and I believe the build material is plastic. You really can’t expect much more considering its price.
