Target Announces Fun Partnership With Google In The Form Of 'Bullseye's Playground'

It’s the holidays again and everyone’s favorite time of the year is almost around the corner. This year is going to be just a tad bit different from recent years, expect it to be a little more fun and entertaining. If you are an avid Target shopper than all the fun and excitement is geared toward you. Today the retail giant announced a new partnership with Google for the latest Art, Copy & Code Project. The project is an interactive, in-store mobile experience designed to add a little thrill to Target guests of all ages this holiday season. Target has called this interactive project, “Bulleye’s Playground,” which is a mobile game that features Target’s bull terrier mascot Bullseye and all of his friends. According to Alan Wizemann, vice president of product, Target.com and Mobile said, “With this partnership, we’re using cutting-edge mobile technology to elevate the in-store holiday experience to provide Target guests a glimpse into the future of retail – where mobile brings together virtual experiences and physical stores.”

Through this partnership, Google’s Art, Cope & Code Project displays how creativity and technology can work quite well together. Beginning December 2nd you will be able to head on over to Target.com/Play on your mobile device and play six interactive games, including sledding, ice fishing, snowball fights and more. This can be accessed in and out the store, so if you’re not at Target, you can still get on and join the fun. If you do go to a store, you will be prompted to search for codes that are scattered around the store. Not only will you have fun playing with Bullseye and his friends, but you will also be playing for a good cause. For every game you play with Bullseye’s Playground, Target will donate $1 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Now the fun doesn’t stop here because in select Target stores Google will give you the opportunity to try out their new Project Tango Development Tablets that transforms the store into 3D winter playground. Guest at Target will be able to use the tablet that will immerse them into a winter wonderland where they can interact with Bullseye and Zoomer Dino while engaging in different activities. The select stores that will be conducting this experience are, Sunnyvale Target, 298 W. McKinley Ave. Sunnyvale, CA and Chicago Near North Target, 2656 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL on December 4-7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The next two locations are Dallas Cityplace Market Target, 2417 N. Haskell Ave. Dallas, TX and Roseville Target, 1515 County Road B W Roseville, MN which will take place through December 11-14 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you happen to be located by these four Targets on these dates, then head on over there to experience Project Tango first hand and play with the virtual Bullseye.
