Xiaomi Mi4 is company’s flagship handset at the moment and this is a really powerful smartphone. Sporting a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, while its price is rather affordable compared to other handsets which sport similar specs. Xiaomi Mi3 is Mi4’s predecessor, and this is still a really powerful device as well. Mi3 also sports a 5-inch 1080p display, though it has 1GB of RAM less than Mi4, which is still plenty enough, and is powered by the Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. If for some reason you think Mi4 is too expensive or the device is unavailable to you, its predecessor is definitely a rather solid alternative.
That being said, now you can get Android 5.0 Lollipop on your device, though not the official MIUI build. Android developer “Ivan” created an Android Lollipop ROM for Xiaomi Mi3 which you can flash on your device. This ROM is available for the Mi3W version of the handset, this is a WCDMA version of the phone, which is basically the international version of the device. Keep in mind that not everything is working as it should in this build though, this is a beta ROM after all. NFC is currently not supported, you cannot save video recording and the ROM is suffering from random reboots at the moment. I still believe there are those of you who like to flash stuff on their devices and are willing to try this out despite the fact not everything works as it should.
