While we’ve started to see some leaks of the HTC One M9(or whatever it’s going to be called when they launch the device)we have yet to see how the device may perform. We have also seen at least one leak of what is believed to be the HTC One M9 Plus(comparable to the HTC One Max, a bigger variant of the original flagship device)in some images that showed up displaying a large camera on the back, as well as a single speaker up top and oddly enough, a physical home button at the bottom. Because of the home button, we’re not too sure about the validity of the leak because HTC hasn’t used physical home buttons on virtually most of their all touchscreen Android devices.
While we leave you to ponder about the prior HTC M9 Plus leak, a new leak has shown up today of some benchmark stats of possibly another variant of the HTC M9 Plus that is slated for release in the Chinese market. The leaks come from AnTuTu, and shows off what is listed as the HTC M9pt. The way AnTuTu benchmarks list the results, it compares the final benchmark scores up against other devices, and in this case it seems the HTC M9pt comes in under devices like the Xiaomi Mi 3 and the Sony Xperia Z2. On top of this the second image leak shows off some of the device’s hardware specifications, with the CPU showing a clock speed of 1950 MHz,(1.95 GHz)which are said to have a max clock speed of 2.2GHz.
This detail plus the results of scoring lower than two devices which use older CPU’s from a year ago is what seems just a little bit odd. The device listed in these images also appears to have 3GB of RAM, and displays the inclusion of a PowerVR Rogue G6200 graphics processor on board. It also shows the device is packed with a QHD screen, so if what we’re seeing here is actually a test model of the HTC M9 Plus, it would appear to be slightly less powerful than we would have expected. Keep in mind though that these are just leaks and while they are interesting to look at and speculate on, this doesn’t really tell us how the device will perform in real world situations nor are these specs confirmed to be real.
