CES is finally underway now and over the next few hours and days we will get to hear quite a few announcements. Although it is quite early in Las Vegas (where the show is being held) this morning has already brought with it some early news. This morning was LG’s turn to make their keynote presentation and the whole thing has just wrapped up. Now there was some TV news, as well as something about washing machines but the real juice for android fans, came in the way of the official launch of the LG G Flex 2. To be fair, this was not exactly new news as it had been anticipated LG would release this device today. Not to mention, yesterday we saw a few key advertisements which pretty much confirmed the launch.
That said, the successor to the LG G Flex has been announced and is official. The big selling point of the Flex is that it is a curved phone (like the first one). If you want to know what else is on offer then the Flex 2 comes with a 5.5″ P-OLED display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the device comes with 2GB RAM and the latest 64-bit Quad-core Snapdragon 810 processor as well as 32GB internal storage. In terms of cameras, the Flex 2 comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1MP front facing option. Battery life was also noted as being important for this device and as such it comes with a decent 3,000mAh battery.
Well, if you are thinking about picking one up then you might want to know that the Flex 2 will be available on AT&T. At the moment, the details are very limited and there is no firm confirmation on when the device will become available. However, as the year has just started, it is safe to assume that it will be sometime this year. In a similar fashion, there was also no news provided on how much the device would cost. So, are you an AT&T customer? Will you be picking up the LG G Flex 2 on AT&T when it becomes available? Let us know.
