CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas is going strong at the moment and we’re seeing all sorts of gadgets showcased along with a ton of news and announcements. Some automobile companies are also attending this show in Las Vegas and are trying to promote their newest products and / or announce some future tech that is going to be included in their cars, like BMW for example. This German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company had an interesting appearance at CES, let’s see what they had to say.
BMW actually crashed Samsung’s CES keynote, not literally of course, and teased deep mobile integration for their automobiles. Company has teased their Touch Command feature, which was already mentioned last year in their Vision Future Luxury concept car. This feature basically lets you use a Samsung tablet in order to operate many functions of your car. For example, you can adjust climate control, music, ambient lighting, etc. without even having to touch anything except the tablet. This essentially means all passengers in the car will be able to control various functions of the car itself, which brings forth a layer of comfort, for sure. Neither of these companies said when this feature will be available, but considering they teased it live on CES, I bet we’ll see it launched sooner rather than later.
This German company is planning to futurize their products in the future, they also showcased a car that parks itself at CES. The company has released some information back in April 2014, the Vision Future Luxury info I mentioned in the previous paragraph. BMW is of course not the only company which has such plans, basically all those huge automobile corporations are moving forward, including other German companies like Audi and Mercedes for example.
