At CES, we got to see a whole host of manufacturers who were planning on releasing tablets this year. Some were to be expected and others, less so. Well, CES is over now but that does not mean that the news is finished just yet. The latest is that HP are working on a new android powered tablet. Now, to provide you with the full news, they are planning on releasing two variants of the same tablet, one loaded with android and one loaded with Windows operating system. However, for obvious reasons we will be focusing on the android option.
So, the ‘HP Slate Pro 10’ as it is being known, is a 10″ tablet and the name Pro is largely attributed to the device coming with a stylus. This addition will allow the ability to write and draw on the screen, although it is unlikely to be as responsive or integrated (as a feature) as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. That said, it does come with the stylus. In terms of the specs, and as already mentioned, the Slate Pro 10 will come with a 10″ display. At the moment, there are no details on the resolution. Inside, the Slate Pro 10 will come with 2GB RAM and powered by an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core Bay Trail processor. In terms of memory, the Slate Pro 10 reportedly will come with 32GB internal storage. Additional features worth mentioning include WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC capabilities.
In terms of aesthetics, you can see from the images below that the tablet looks to be quite a lot more durable than what we are used to seeing. As such the tablet does come with quite thick bezels and frame. Not to mention the thickness of the tablet also seems to be quite large, although there are no firm details on the dimensions yet. If you are thinking you might be interested in a new HP android powered tablet, then at the moment there are again no firm details on when this device will land or how much it will cost. Reports are suggesting that in Europe the device will be somewhere around the 390 Euro mark, although this is still to be confirmed. So what do you think?
