AU, which is a Japanese carrier is gearing up to launch a new Kyocera smartphone running on the Android OS in the middle of next month called the Infobar A03, which features a 13MP rear facing camera with a CMOS sensor and an inspired design which will make you the owner of a truly unique looking smartphone. The phones are part of a series of devices that are to be depicted as artsy tech, and they come in a range of different colors, featuring red, blue, brown, and pink color variations(or Nishikigoi, Mocah Brown, Pool, and Sakura Iro)that cover the back and wrap around the edge of one side on the front of the device, with varied colors at the bottom front end. To be completely honest all I can see now when looking at the pink model is a box of Neapolitan ice cream.
Jokes aside, the device actually seems to come with some OK specs. In addition to the 13MP rear facing camera there’s a 2MP camera on the front. The A03 features a 4.5-inch Full HD IGZO display that packs a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It’s also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB quad-core processor that’s clocked at 2.3GHz, and to keep everything running there’s a 2,020mAh battery inside. It’s also IPX5/8 waterproof and IP5X dustproof, which we’re glad to see is starting to become a growing trend among devices more and more.
For other specs, the Infobar A03 features 16GB of internal storage space with expandable storage up to 128GB via the microSD card slot. It features the standard connection and network support like Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, NFC, and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The design of the phone from inside and out was brought together from a team of designers focused on bringing a uniquely art inspired physical design together with an elegant and tasteful UI design to offer something that looks and feels unlike any other phone. The phone from top to bottom and inside and out is interesting looking to say the least, and the specs aren’t half bad. The Infobar A03 is set to launch sometime next month via AU, but so far we have no idea about the price or region specific availability.
