Micromax is probably the most popular / well-known Indian smartphone manufacturer. This company has been one of Google’s initial Android One release partners and has recently signed a contract with Cyanogen and release the Yureka phone which is Cyanogen-powered recently as well. Well, Micromax didn’t release it per say, but Micromax’s YU company did. We’re not here to talk about that though. After releasing the low-end AD3520 handset yesterday, Micromax is at it again, the company has just announced their new tablet. The Canvas Breeze Tab P660 is a mid-range tablet offering by this Indian smartphone and tablet manufacturer and it is of course going to be released in India. Anyhow, let’s check out this tablet’s specifications and see what it has to offer.
Micromax Canvas Breeze Tab P660 (that’s a mouthful) features a 7.85-inch 1024 x 768 IPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built memory which you can expand via microSD card up to 32GB, which could come in handy to those of you who need more space and considering this is a tablet, I believe many people will actually stick a microSD card in there. This tablet is powered by MediaTek’s MT8389WM quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz. 5-megapixel camera is located at the back of this device and a 2-megapixel snapper is available up front. Android 4.2 comes pre-installed on this device and we’re talking about a dual-SIM device here. As far as connectivity goes, you also get 3G connectivity here, along with Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. 4,000mAh battery is also a part of this package.
The Canvas Breeze Tab P660 comes in Red and Black color options and will be priced at Rs. 9,999 ($158). The device will be available exclusively from Snapdeal and it comes with 500MB data per month for 6 months (Aircel customers) and a free MMX440W Wireless Router from Micromax with a 4,400mAh power bank worth Rs. 2,499 ($40).
