Almost without a doubt the most anticipated device out there at the moment is the Samsung Galaxy 6. There are a number of reasons as to why this is such an anticipated device and literally too many to go into right now without going off of the point. That said, one reason which is good enough on its own, is that it is Samsung. Their devices are always hotly anticipated and just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy S6 is no different. As this is such an awaited device, its should be no surprise that leaks and spec speculation is rife. We have heard an absolute abundance of supposed specs over the last few weeks and most likely will in the weeks to come. That said, specs matter.
The latest on the spec-front is that it seems to be increasingly likely that the Galaxy S6 will come with a 2560 x 1440 ‘2K’ display. As well as that, it also seems (almost) certain that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with a 64-bit processor. Although, we have heard these suggested specs before, it is now being reported that a User Agent profile from Samsung’s very own site confirms these two particular specifications. The 2K display is almost a given, as it would probably not be forgiven if Samsung did not provide a QHD display on their newest flagship. In reality, the 64-bit processor is also pretty much expected to be included. That said, the real question should be which 64-bit processor? We already heard this morning that Samsung might be opting for their own 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. This was due to some overheating issues the Qualcomm chip was supposed to be having. As a result, the latest on that front was Samsung might use their own chip in as much as 90% of the Samsung Galaxy S6 devices until the Qualcomm issue is solved.
Also, interestingly, the same User Agent profile, lists the Samsung Galaxy S6 under the model number ‘SM-G920A’. Which, as the source article (below) suggests, this could be the AT&T variant bound for the U.S. The only other info provided on the User Agent profile is that it seems hardware buttons will be in use for the S6. This is not confirmed, but as the profile does not contain a reference to software button, it is assumed the hardware buttons are what will be included. In terms of the rest of the already rumored specs, the Galaxy S6 will come with a 5.5″ display (probably 534 ppi). On the rear of the camera, there should be a 16MP shooter while a typically more modest 5MP front facing option should be provided. Inside, the S6 should come running with 3GB RAM, the already mentioned 64-bit processor and running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
