It is no secret that sales of the Samsung Galaxy S5 fell way below Samsung’s expectations and tolerations – hurting their bottom line, but more than that, tarnished the reputation of Samsung. They fired some executives and shuffled others around as they try to present us with ‘The Next Big Thing.’ Samsung seemed to move in the right direction with the design of their Alpha series and the new Galaxy Note 4 – but what about the innovation that Samsung used to be ‘Noted’ for…how about a new Galaxy Note Edge model.
It has all of the great features of the Galaxy Note 4, but adds a twist…or we should say ‘curve’…to the right edge of the display. This allows the app developer the ability to use that side-panel for whatever they would like – for instance, the entire set of camera controls mounted away from the main display. Now there is talk of a model with both edges of the display curving down, allowing for even more options.
Samsung has been testing many different versions of its upcoming Galaxy S6 flagship, not only trying to select the best possible device to offer to the public for sale, but also possible variations to offer of the Galaxy S6. Once an idea never heard of before, it is becoming a way of life with smartphone manufacturers, just like when they offer a mini version of the original, why not offer a variation, as Samsung did with its Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge?
It seems that the rumored limited edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge, which would have not one, but two rounded edges may have turned up in that vast ‘testing ground’ called India. Our source is showing (see below) an import list, dated January 3, with the description: PROTOTYPE PHONE SIMILAR TO GALAXY NOTE 4 (FOR R&D PURPOSE) P/N: SM-G925F. It even has the invoiced valued amount of the device at 44,909 INR or roughly US$710.
Please hook up with us on our Google+ Page and let us know if you believe that the Galaxy S6 Edge would be a good idea and if it is something that you would be willing to pay extra in order to have that capability…as always, we would love to hear from you.
