Smartphone screens are getting bigger and bigger these days, which, of course, increases the proportions of devices as a whole. By trimming down the bezels, manufacturers can keep the size of those smartphones under control, to some extent at least. This not only means they can make a more compact device while keeping the screen big, but also get a really, really good looking devices. We’ve seen many “bezel-less” smartphone leaks thus far, and Sharp Aquos Crystal was a rather interesting device which gave us a glimpse of what that might look at, if you disregard the huge chin which that device had at the bottom.
As we’re waiting for ZTE’s Nubia Z9 handset which has leaked several time now and showed us a rather good looking design which has no bezels on the side, another brand has launched such a device. Serendipity S7 has a high screen to body ratio, the 86% of this device’s surface is taken by that display when you looking at it from the front side, which is impressive. This handset features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and you’d think this would make it larger than it is. This phone measures 145 x 72 x 6.9, which makes it extremely compact, and you’d think this phone actually sports a 5-inch screen, not a 5.5-inch panel. Talking about the display, this is a 2.5D display and it comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.
Serendipity S7 comes sporting 2GB of RAM for all your multitasking needs and 32GB of internal storage. 13-megapixel camera is located at the back of this handset, and a 5-megapixel camera is available on its front side. 2,600mAh battery ships with this handset and the device supports dual-SIM, dual standby usage, while a 4G LTE connectivity is also available. We don’t have any information about this device’s processor at this time. The pricing and the release date for this smartphone are also still unknown, but I bet we’ll find out more details in the near future though.
