Xiaomi Mi Note Gets Dismantled, Let's Peek Inside Xiaomi's Newest Handset

Xiaomi has announced two great smartphone offerings at their press conference a couple of days ago. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro handsets are Xiaomi’s high-end offerings which will most certainly interest a lot of people. I guess you can call these handsets phablets, considering they both sport a rather big 5.7-inch display. These handsets look basically identically from the outside, but things get a whole lot more interesting if you take a look at their specifications, more on that later though. If you take a look at the gallery below this article, you’ll see a ton of pictures which will get you a better look at the Mi Note… from the inside. Chinese portal IT168 managed to get their hands on the copy of the device (Mi Note), and they took it apart for all of us to see what hides on the inside. They did not find anything out of the ordinary though, but if you’re interested to take a closer look at what lays inside, definitely check out the gallery down below.

As I already said, the Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro look identical on the outside, they even both sport a 5.7-inch display, but the difference is in the screen’s resolution. The Mi Note’s display offers full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution, while the Mi Note Pro’s display features a quadHD resolution (2560 x 1440). This is not the only difference between the two devices, though, the Mi Note is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 quad-core chip and offers 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro ships with a Snapdragon 810, a 64-bit octa-core chip and features 4GB of RAM. The Mi Note Pro has a slightly bigger battery on the inside, but that’s it, every other spec is basically identical. These handsets ship with 13 and 4-megapixel cameras, the 13-megapixel one is located on the back of the device, it offers OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The 4-megapixel snapper is available up front, and we’re talking about 2um pixel size sensor here.
