Xiaomi has held a press conference two days ago and has announced four new devices. Two out of those four devices are phablets, Xiaomi’s newest smartphone offerings, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. These two devices look identical on the outside, but their specifications are somewhat different, more on that later. We’re here to talk about the pricing of these handsets, we already know how much will they cost in China, but these handsets just got listed on Oppomart, a reseller which ships gadgets worldwide.
Both of these phablets are listed on Oppomart, but are still marked as “out of stock”, which is understandable considering they’re not even available in China just yet. The 16GB version of Mi Note will cost $399 through Oppomart, which is not bad at all considering its price in China is 2,299 Yuan ($370). The Mi Note Pro, on the other hand, will cost you $599 should you decide to purchase it through Oppomart. That handset will cost 3,299 Yuan ($531) in China, so this means it will be $69 more expensive internationally, which is not that bad either considering this is the latest and the greatest on the market at the moment. Something to keep in mind though, shipping is not a part of this price, and these devices ship from China, of course. I’m sure that there are those of you who live outside of China and are interested in getting these devices, well, you might get a chance to do that soon.
The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro both feature a 5.7-inch display, the difference is in their resolution, Mi Note ships with a 1080p IPS LCD display, while the Mi Note Pro sports a QuadHD panel. They also offer different processors and RAM counts, the Mi Note features a Snapdragon 801 quad-core chip and 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and will ship with 4GB of RAM. The rest of their specifications are basically identical, except for a slight difference in battery size. Both of them support dual-SIM, dual standby 4G LTE (FDD-LTE and TD-LTE networks, which are great news for those of you who are looking to import them) connectivity and come with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed with MIUI on top of Google’s OS. 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX214 BSI sensor) with OIS is located on the back of both of these devices, and a 4-megapixel (2um pixel size) camera is available up front.
