Xiaomi Mi Note Specs


For a lot of the tech industry, all eyes this year will be on the newest big OEM in town. In fact, the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, Xiaomi. In China, Xiaomi has just released their newest smartphone and after all the speculation, we finally know what to expect and what specs on offer. So let’s take a look.

The Xiaomi Mi Note comes with a 5.7-inch full HD Retina display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 386 PPI. The display which is manufactured by Sharp/JDI, comes with a 95% NTSC color gamut, along with a contrast ration of 1400:1. Due to the inclusion of dynamic contrast the screen is 30% more battery efficient. In addition, the Mi Note is equipped with 2.5D curved glass on the front of the device. If that was not enough then the Note also comes with 3D curved glass on the rear of the device. Inside the Note comes loaded with 3GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (clocking at 2.5GHz) with an Adreno 330 GPU. On the memory front, the Note will be available in both a 16GB and 32GB variant. In terms of cameras, the Note comes loaded with a Sony 13 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash as well as an f/2.0 aperture and six lenses on top of each other. On the front of the device, the Note comes with a 4MP front-facing camera. Additionally, the Note also comes equipped with a Sony/LG Li-ion 3,000mAh battery and make use of Quick Charge Technology for faster charging. The Mi Note will offer support for Dual 4G SIM as well as support for nano-SIM and also micro SIM cards.

In terms of the actual aesthetics of the device, the sides of the Mi Note are metal, while the dual glass back and front adopt Corning Gorilla Glass 3. In terms of the size and weight, the Note measures 6.95mm in thickness and weighs 161 grams. As for the software and as to be expected, the Note will come running on MIUI 6 software. The device will be available in both a black and a white variant.
