MWC 2015 is just a couple of days away. With all the manufacturers set to release their all new flagship devices this year, there seems to be no shortage of leaks. One of these upcoming devices is the Samsung Galaxy S6, which has been the subject of a huge number of leaks and rumors in the past few days. The latest leak is regarding the much talked about themes feature in Touchwiz, which was first introduced in the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. This themes feature, in its new avatar on the Galaxy S6, is supposed to bring in more changes than before, and this leak sheds more light on exactly what they might be.
The leak comes from SamMobile, which has been leaking details regarding the TouchWiz themes feature for quite a while now. According to the leak, the new themes feature in the S6 will provide the users options to change icons, color bar, voice tones, background image and background color in menus. The ‘color bar’ most probably refers to the header of an app activity, the color of which is adapted by the status bar in the new material design theme. Allowing the user to set any color to the theme of stock apps, is certainly a great feature to have. Those of us who have used custom ROMs already know how great it is to have an option to change themes, on your phone. However, not many OEMs have offered such a level of customization in their software before. With Samsung raising the bar for the level of customization offered in software by default, we might see the other manufacturers offering such features, as well, in the future.
It has been also said before that the themes feature will also change system sounds, fonts, and something called Events, details about which are yet unknown. Themes will be available on the Theme Center for download. Nothing has been said about support for third-party themes, yet. This leak also includes the new Theme Center icon, posted below. What other options do you want to see in the TouchWiz themes feature? Tell us in the comments.
